PCs and Laptops are designed for productivity and work like analyzing business data and creating client presentations. Netbooks were invented in Q4 2007 to provide home users with low-horsepower machines to surf the web and check email.

Unfortunately, the "business productivity" legacy of Windows and MacOSX make both netbooks and home computers hard to use for home focused tasks. Usability tests show widespread difficulty, with many users failing to complete desired tasks quickly or easily.

Key Insight: Operating Systems and UIs have not actually kept up with home user's needs in media creation, consumption, sharing and management. Users are forced through too many steps to accomplish elementary goals.
